General Requirements for Visa Processing to Kazakhstan, Embassy Attestation



Visas and Travel is authorized before the Embassy to submit visa applications with the required documents to the Consular Section and provide advice on the application for the processing of this visa. This service is of medium and not of result. Visas and Travel is not affiliated with any Government entity of that country.

Documents:-

  • Original passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months and must have at least 2 free pages without any stamp in order to paste the visa.
  • Two original application forms (not copies), which must be completed and signed by each applicant.
  • Color copy of the biographical data page of your passport.
  • Color copy of your identity document.
  • Two photographs with the following specifications:
  • The size of the photo should be 5 cm. x 5 cm
  • Preferably color
  • Recent photo (taken at most six months before).
  • White background.
  • Air ticket or Printer of the route.


Original International Certificate of Yellow Fever Vaccine:-

  • International medical insurance valid for the stay, issued by an insurance company that covers all the expenses of repatriation, urgent medical assistance and urgent hospitalization for the period indicated on the visa.


  • Proof of accommodation, hotel reservation or invitation letter from someone in Kazakhstan guaranteeing to provide accommodation to the applicant during their stay.
  • Letter of invitation addressed to Embassy of Kazakhstan, Visa Section, Washington DC, specifying name and address of the reference in Kazakhstan, guarantee of return of the applicant, reason for the trip, the planned travel dates and places to visit, duly authenticated by the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.   • The Department of Consular Services will provide the company with a reference number so that you can present, along with other documents to the Consular Section, a letter of introduction from the company, which briefly summarizes the purpose of the visit and includes some information about the company or organization.


  • Letter of introduction from your bank indicating the opening date of your accounts, statements of your savings and / or checking accounts, as well as your international credit cards for the last three months (original and copy).
  • Letter of introduction from your employer indicating the time of service, position, salary and period of vacation enjoyment or license granted. In case of being businessmen and / or professionals, attach the RUT, as well as the bank movements of your company (originals and copies)
  • If the person applying for the tourist visa does not work (for being a minor, student, housewife, retiree, etc.) the person who is in charge of their support, (father, mother, child) must write a letter of presentation, with a copy of his ID, indicating that he guarantees the expenses of the applicant during his trip (attach financial information on his economic income as indicated above). Retirees must submit their last three pay slips and / or eventually any other document that justifies their income (originals and copies).
  • If it is the company that pays all expenses, attach a letter of responsibility, it must be printed on letterhead and addressed to the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Visa Section, Washington DC. Letter of responsibility format
  • For applicants under 18 years of age, authenticated copy of the birth record (folio of the Civil Birth Registry).
  • Authorization format leaving the country for minors.
  • Photocopy of passports of both parents.
  • Photocopy of all attached documents

Requirements to enter:-

Passport valid for at least six months at the time of entry and until the date your trip ends. Two passport-sized photos with a maximum length of 6 months to register with the Visa and Registration Department of the Ministry of Interior.

Document that proves your accommodation:- They can be hotel reservations, or a  Letter of invitation  from a relative or national friend of Kazakhstan or resident in the country with address information and telephone numbers, to which they must add proof of economic solvency and legal stay in that country.

Remember: It is the exclusive power of the Kazakh authorities to grant or deny entry to a foreign person to their territory, even if they have a visa.

Custom information’s:-

You must declare the amount of money you bring in currencies other than the local one.
Items intended for personal use are allowed for free.
The export of antiques (including precious stones, coins, manuscripts and works of art), without the permission of local authorities, is prohibited.
The entry of firearms and narcotics is prohibited.

Security:-

It is possible that the authorities ask you for some identification while you are traveling through Kazakhstan, so it is convenient that you carry a photocopy of your passport with you at all times and keep the original in a safe place.
If you want to visit the following places, you must process a special permit from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Interior.
If you are going to stay in the country for more than 5 days, you must register with the local authorities.
Avoid driving on the road during the night due to the possible lack of adequate signage and lighting.

Prevention:-

Getting vaccinated is a very effective way to prevent measles; People who do not receive the vaccine are at high risk of contracting the disease.
Taking serum immunoglobulin within 6 days after exposure to the virus may reduce the risk of developing measles or make the disease less severe.

Recommendations:

It is recommended that all international travelers be properly vaccinated with a triple viral vaccine according to official recommendations for children and adults.
If during your trip you suspect that you contracted measles or rubella:
Seek help from a doctor immediately,
Avoid close contact with other people for seven days from the beginning of the rash,
Stay in the place where you stay except to go to the doctor,
Avoid traveling and / or visiting public places.
Do not forget to notify your credit institution and / or account executive of your bank that you will travel to Kazakhstan, to inform you about the procedures in case of theft or loss, or problems that you could face when withdrawing money with your cards abroad .
